You should recognize these names. If your agent uses them, you are generally in good hands:
- YunExpress: The gold standard for US/EU dropshipping. They fly goods directly to the destination country and hand them off to local couriers (like USPS or Royal Mail). Typical speed: 7-12 days.
- Yanwen: Similar to YunExpress, very reliable for smaller, lighter packages. Often slightly cheaper.
- CNE & 4PX: Solid alternatives. 4PX is often backed by Alibaba's logistics network.
How 'Direct Injection' Works
Why are these lines faster? Traditional post relies on passenger flights and passes through multiple sorting centers. Special lines use Direct Injection. They bulk-ship containers of packages on cargo planes, clear customs electronically in bulk, and inject the packages directly into the 'Last Mile' carrier's network (e.g., USPS in the US). To the customer, it looks like a local package once it lands.
How to Optimize Your Shipping
- Ask for the 'Line List': Ask your agent for their price sheet. It will list different carriers (YunExpress, USPS, DHL) with different prices and weight brackets.
- Match Line to Destination: YunExpress might be best for the US, but maybe 'Canada Direct Line' is better for Canada. Don't use a 'Global' method; pick the best line for each country.
- Weight Brackets: Shipping costs jump at certain weights (e.g., every 50g or 100g). If your product + packaging weighs 105g, you might be paying for the 150g bracket. Trimming 6g of packaging could save you thousands of dollars a year.
